Humber Princess

The John Whitaker Tanker "Humber Princess" has to be one of the most photographed barges working around the Humber Ports and on Yorkshires inland waterways. Humber Princess can normally be found on the twice weekly run through Goole and onto the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation to Rotherham where she discharges her cargo at the Greenline Oil depot. She can also be found on the Aire & Calder navigation delivering oil products to the Total Oil Ferrybridge fuel depot. The Humber Princess is the only regular commercial barge now operating this far up the S & H. The Esk-Dredging photographic team followed the barge on one of its journey's in 2009.
